Im Zuge des The Escapist Indie Showcase kündigten der Publisher HypeTrain Digital und der Entwickler So Romantic das Cyberpunk-Rollenspiel Jack Move für Nintendo Switch und PC an. Es soll Anfang 2021 erscheinen und wird vom 16. bis zum 22. Juni als Demoversion im Zuge des Steam Summer Festival: Summer Edition verfügbar sein.
Jack Move bietet düstere Cyberpunk-Atmosphäre, wunderhübsche Pixeloptik und ein rundenbasiertes Kampfsystem, ähnlich dem bekannter japanischer Rollenspiele. Es soll sich jedoch von typischen japanischen Rollenspielen unterscheiden. Das Ziel der Entwickler war es, den Spaß, sowie den Tiefgang und die Handlung dieses Genres, das üblicherweise viel Zeit in Anspruch nimmt, in ein knappes Acht- bis Zehn-Stunden-Packet zu pressen.
Spieler übernehmen die Rolle von Noa, einer Vigilant-Hackerin, die in eine Welt voller Mord, Entführung und finsterer Forschung gestoßen wird, nachdem ihr Vater verschwunden ist. Ihr Ziel ist es, den üblen Riesenkonzern Monomind, der die Cyberpunk-Welt von Monocity-1 kontrolliert, zu vernichten. Um dies zu schaffen, muss sie sich durch verschiedene Dungeons voll mit allerhand Cyberpunk-Schurkerei kämpfen.

Story

Jack Move features beautifully animated, exciting and tactical turn based battles.Customise the software of your Cyber Deck to switch roles mid battle, balancing offence, defence and buffs. Choosing which software you load during battle is the key to victory! Hardware upgrades can help boost your stats, increase the amount of software you can install or give Noa extra abilities.
