Flyhigh Works kündigte kürzlich Ambition of the Slimes für Nintendo Switch an und gab zudem den konkreten Termin bekannt. Demnach erscheint das Strategie-Rollenspiel am 18. Januar für 5 Euro im eShop. Der Titel erschien bereits im August 2016 für den Nintendo 3DS. Interessenten, die sich im Besitz des kleinen Handhelds befinden, können das Spiel dank einer Demoversion ausprobieren.
In Ambition of the Slimes schlägt die oft belächelte und schwächste Art von Rollenspiel-Monstern zurück und ringt um ihre verdiente Anerkennung. Als Spieler befehligt man eine Armee von Schleimen, deren Heimat von widerwärtigen Menschen überfallen wurde. Diese Eindringlinge zurückzudrängen, ist nun die Aufgabe eurer tapferen Schleim-Truppen. Hierzu nutzen die Schleime ihre Veranlagung, sich den menschlichen Körpern zu ermächtigen und auf diese Weise zurückzuschlagen. Dabei stehen unterschiedliche Arten von Schleimen mit verschiedenen Fähigkeiten zur Verfügung.
Flyhigh Works will kick off 2018 with its release of Ambition of the Slimes on the Switch eShop! Previously on 3DS, it now brings its spin on RPG norms to Nintendo’s latest system – it arrives on the eShop (North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand) on 18th January, priced at $5USD / €5 (with variations per territory).
So, what’s it about? Well, the weakest monster in RPGs, the "Slime", is now ready to fight back!
Slimes are surprisingly versatile in this strategic RPG - they can use magic, multiply and use various special abilities. Despite all of this they usually get bashed into a mush, not always by heroes but sometimes by village commoners - ouch!
That changes in Ambition of the Slimes, thanks to the ability to "Claim" enemies. Under your command Slimes are able to take control of their opponents' bodies by jumping into their mouths! Use this Claim ability to inform your strategy in battle, taking over strong enemies and leading the Slimes to victory.
As you fight through the levels you'll learn all about the ambition of the Slimes; we hope this’ll be a surprising and fun RPG for Switch gamers.
